Welcome to the School of Exercise,
Biomedical and Health Sciences
The
School of Exercise, Biomedical and Health Sciences incorporates degree
programs in the areas of Exercise and Sports Science, Human Biology,
Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Public Health. The School
also offers minors in the areas of Nutrition and Human Performance
and services a major nutritional stream in the Bachelor of Health
Science and Bachelor of Science degrees.
A strong focus is placed on teaching and research, and in state of the arts laboratory facilities provide an excellent environment for conducting both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
Industry practice modules in several of the degrees ensure that the graduates in our programs are provided with real life experience and opportunities that prepare them for their chosen career paths.The School has a very active research program aligned to the various academic disciplines, these include:

They are active in publishing in major journals and present at national and international conferences. The staff are encouraged at all times to maintain contact with industry and community groups through research and consultancy work. The currency of our courses is ensured through industry representation on discipline consultative committees.
