Synopsis:

Amanda is a senior lecturer in the Nutrition Program at ECU.

Amanda is a Registered Public Health Nutritionist with the Nutrition Society of Australia and teaches nutritional assessment, nutrition through the lifecycle, issues and trends in dietary patterns and community and exercise nutrition.

Research in which Amanda has been involved since 1990 is in the area of bone and calcium disorders and she has co-authored 43 peer reviewed articles, 2 book chapters and 110 abstracts. In the past 18 years, Amanda has been a chief investigator on NHMRC, Healthway and other grants, in the area of bone health and childhood nutrition, totaling more than $1.8M.

Amanda is the Director of Nutrition Australia (WA Division) which is located at ECU and which provides resources for the community and workplace experience for  nutrition students.
